Read a great review at puremusic.com Kane-Welch-Kaplin will take part in the Songwriters Series at the Country Music Hall of Fame on Saturday, December 2nd at Noon. Kane-Welch-Kaplin are winding down on touring as we come to the end of 2006. Finishing the year with a string of dates in Western Canada in November. Kane-Welch-Kaplin on West Coast in October. Including the Harldy Strictly Blugrass Festival in San Fran where Fats also plays with Elvis Costello, Emmy Lou Harris, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings in a reprise of their Grand Old Opry Show of February, 2006. Kane-Welch-Kaplin will return from Ireland on September 17th to take part in the Americana Music Association's Annual Conference in Nashville, TN. Fats has returned from a January trip to Turkey where he acquired a beautiful Balagma (traditional long necked lute) and even took lessons while in Istanbul. The Syrian Oud that he received as a gift last year is played often and has already been used on several recording sessions and in concert. Hope the same will happen with this beautiful balagma. Fats and Kristi Rose also returned from their trip with MANY CDs of incredible music. Turkish Folk music old and new. The house is awash in the sounds of the east. Jason Ringenberg's 2nd Farmer Jason CD, "Rockin' the Forest With Farmer Jason" is completed and about to be released. As usual, Fats and George Bradfute are all over it.
